PIC BY NELIS WOLMARANS / CATERS NEWS - (PICTURED: The panicing zebra bites back against the crocodile giving him a momentary opportunity to escape.) -These amazing snaps show a feisty zebra biting back at a hungry CROCODILE. The brave zebra showed no fear as he showed the snapping croc who was boss. As he crossed the river with the rest of his herd during their annual migration, some sly crocs decided to try and snare an unsuspecting zebra for dinner. But the group of killer crocs werent expecting the fearless zebra to fight back - and one got a shock when the zebra tried to take a chuck out of him. Incredibly, the gutsy zebra managed to get away from the jaws of the three snapping crocs with only a broken leg, and he limped off to the other side of the river as the crocs were left hungry. The dramatic scene was caught on camera by South African photographer Nelis Wolmarans, as the zebras crossed the Mara River at the Maasai Mara National Reserve, in Kenya.
