Përmbytjet në Paris pritet të arrijnë kulmin gjatë ditës së sotme për shkak të rreshjeve masive. Meteorologët parashikojnë një situatë të vështirë në kryeqytetin francez ku lumi Sena pritet të arrijë 6 metër mbi nivelin e zakonshëm.

Presidenti Francois Hollande u shpreh se ndryshimi i klimës globale është një fenomen serioz që po ndikon edhe në motin e kohëve të fundit në Europë. Ai ka shpallur gjendjen e emergjencës në zonat më të prekura, ç’ka do të bëjë të mundur lirimin e fondeve për familjet që po goditen nga përmbytjet.

Barriera emergjence janë instaluar përgjatë lumit Sena për të penguar daljen nga shtrati. Rreth 3000 mijë persona janë evakuar në rrethinat e kryqeqytetit. Rreshje të pandrëpreranë rajonin e Loiret kanë detyruar njerëzit të braktisin automjetet në mes të rruëgs.

Ndërsa 25 mijë banesa kanë mbetur pa energji elektrike në Paris dhe në zonën qëndore të Francës.
Dy muzet e famshëm të Parisit Louvre dhe Orsay janë mbyllur për ti dhënë mundësinë punonjësve të transferojnë veprat e artiti në një zonë të sigurt nga përmbytjet.

Ndërkohë pritet që të ketë rreshje edhe gjatë fundjavës. Po ashtu si Franca edhe Gjemania ndodhet në situatë të rëndë, ku deri tani vetëm në jug të vendit, në Bavari kanë humbur jetën 6 persona dhe të tjerë rezultojnë të humbur. Ndërkohë dy perona kanë humbur jetën në francë si pasojee përmbutjeve të mëdha. Europa po përballet me përmbytjet më të rënda në dekada.
