Pak ditë më parë Ruby Pearl Marshall ndërroi jetë dhe u varros në një ceremoni madhështore me karroca dhe kuaj.

78-vjeçarja kishte 52 nipër, mbesa e stërnipër.

Konsiderohej si “mbretëresha e romëve”.

Por tradita e funeralit nuk mbaroi me përcjelljen e saj në banesën e fundit.

Një ditë pas funeralit u dogjën 4 rulota në nder të saj.

Kjo gjë është pjesë e traditës së romëve.

Travellers have burnt four caravans belonging to the 'Queen of the Gipsies' Ruby Pearl Marshall following her funeral on Thursday in Wales

The burning, which took place in Glynmill Caravan Site in Merthyr, saw four of the late Mrs Marshall's caravans go up in flames 

Burning caravans and possessions is an ancient traveller ritual as traditionally no one is allowed to live in a deceased traveller's caravan

 

Yesterday her funeral took place in Merthyr, putting the whole town at a standstill as her cortege, led by four white horses, passed through

Ruby Pearl Marshall's family followed along the road in a succession of white stretch limousines in her funeral procession yesterday

Floral decorations of Mrs Marshall's favourite things were created for the procession, including a huge black floral horse

Over £16,000 was spent on flowers alone, including sixty wreaths, which all reached about six foor high and included an intricate floral caravan

Mrs Marshall, who had lived in Merthyr for 25 years, died aged 78 earlier this month after suffering from heart and kidney problems
