The criminal, who had noticed the 4x4 with its passenger window, fled the scene on a hired bike and was weaving across the road from the weight of the valuables. Police, who had been called to the scene on Dawes Road, Fulham, west London, where houses sell for upwards of £1.2 million, began tearing down the street with their lights flashing.
